Welcome

My name is Pete Restall, and this is my corner of the web. In these pages I detail projects and other bits and pieces that I have been or currently am working on. This site has been bashed together in a quick and simple way and I share the information in the true spirit of the 'net, in the hope that somebody somewhere will find it useful/interesting. It also provides me with a way to record details of my projects in the event that I need to revisit them - time spent on a project is generally sporadic, so a reference to help me remember why I made some of the braindead design choices will prove useful.

As a disclaimer, I would like to point out that I am a professional software developer by trade who just so happens to have an interest in hardware. I have no formal qualifications in electrical engineering or related disciplines, so please bear in mind that the material in these pages may not constitute Good Practice. These are simply projects I've put together for my own amusement.

If any of these pages prove useful or interesting, please let me know; likewise, any (constructive) criticisms are always welcome - if you spot mistakes, improvements, etc. then please feel free to e-mail also. Remember that I'm doing these projects for self amusement and betterment, so anything that advances either of those causes is A Good Thing.

Any unconstructive comments, please cat > /dev/null
